I joined a run club because I like to torture myself. Just kidding, I thought maybe it would spark some motivation and activity. I know that lifting weights is probably best for me, but since Im not doing that, any kind of movement is good movement. I missed the first group run because I was out of town and then I was in my head and didnt do it on my own the rest of the week. The next group run wasnt much better, I thought I knew where we were meeting but I was on the wrong side of the lake and by the time I figured that out, I was late. But it was god awful early and I was already there so I did it anyway and that was a HUGE accomplishment for me. I made myself go again yesterday and once I started, I realized that I was wearing the wrong shoes. I pushed through and today my ankles are super sore so Im wearing cushier shoes to work. They arent my favorite, but they seem to be helping. I actually dont mind the running. I do have to laugh when I see the schedule and it says "25 minutes light jog" - yeah no way. But Im trying and thats what matters.
