It's admirable that you're undertaking this. There's ample support available for this disorder. It acts as a coping mechanism, akin to alcoholism or any other -ism, eventually evolving into a habit that dominates us. I viewed certain foods in that light, terming it "sober eating." The carnivore diet has been instrumental in soothing my mind and anxieties, providing the opportunity to cultivate healthier alternatives to my previous habits. Remarkably, the change occurred swiftly for me. Drs. Georgia Ede and Christopher Palmer offer profound insights on this topic. Should you find it intriguing, consider exploring their work. They have conducted extensive interviews available on podcasts, which I've found to be incredibly beneficial on YouTube. May this information aid you in your journey.

Years ago, I had a therapist (my third try) and she specialized in visualization, which I realized after the fact was like hypnosis. I thought for sure it would not work. But it totally did!! For a few blissful months, my thoughts and actions were totally void of my problems and it literally got rid of most of my physical and emotional pain that was preventing me from moving on in life. It allowed me to establish new thought patterns, actions, and positive feedback loops. When it wore off, I was shocked that it worked. I wanted to do it again for weight loss, but the therapist was no longer in practice.
