Tonight I tried an aqua boot camp class. That was fun and challenging. It involved a lot of arm work with pushups pulling yourself up off the wall of the pool, triceps, weights, ab work, leg work, and sprint swimming. My arms feel like they are going to fall off right about now. It was 45 min. I liked it a lot and may do it again, although this class you have to pay for so I'm not sure. It's not that expensive though.

My buddy here Pking reminded me to eat properly for training mode for the 15K race coming up in 2 weeks. That was a good reminder for me. So, I am intentionally focusing in on training mode to give my body the best fuel to work on over the next 2 weeks and need to focus my workouts accordingly too. I am fighting a higher weight right now and have been pretty dilegent today to get it back down. I also want to be as light as possible for the race.

I have kept cut up cauliflower and celery in the fridge lately to snack on with lunch or while I am cooking so I don't eat something else. I dip it in roasted red pepper hummus which is yummy.

I told you this recipe before for this "shake", but in case you haven't tried it, you will want to! I make this often:
1 cup crushed ice
1 cup skim milk
1.5 TBSP general mills international coffees in suisse mocha (I get sugar free/ decaffinated)
Put in blender until well blended.

I also just bought the coffee flavoring (doesn't taste like coffee at all by the way) in french vanilla so tonight I am going to make a vanilla shake with that and vanilla soy milk. I have also made it without the coffee flavoring and added vanilla and a little sugar but I think the flavoring will be better. Let me know if you give it a try.

Have a healthy, happy week everyone!

I don't remember that shake, sounds so yummy. So does your veg w/ hummus. I just got the garlic one, the red pepper one is much better.

Your aqua class sounds really interesting - I'd love to try that.
