I remember the first time I hit 189 lbs. It was 2001 and I was 26. I went on Atkins with my then partner, joined a Curves gym I could walk to from my place, and lost 40 lbs. By 2004 I was 147. I remember the second time I hit 189. It was January 2011 and I finally had a good relationship, job, life path. Time to get it together again, I did Atkins and worked out at my workplace and with my bestie/trainer. A year later, I weighed 164, mighty fine. I remember the third time I hit 189--well, 199 this time. It was Spring of 2013. I tried Atkins, then Paleo. Finally I found the Virgin Diet. I was furloughed in October 2013 and started it then. I weighed 200.3 the first day. This time I lost 30 lbs. I remember the fourth time I hit 189. Jeez, it gets shorter each time. It was April 2015. I struggled along and then a friend and I discovered the Whole30 together in July 2015. To be continued...
