Raeka8's Journal, 19 Nov 15

As I posted before, after taking 4 days off from gym, weight dropped to new low of 196. When went back to gym and kept calories in deficit, had a 1 lb weight gain that today is a 2 lb gain. Calories still in lower deficit area and exercise is good. I have therefore come to the conclusion, that my weight will always be about 1-2 lbs higher during exercise. The only way to determine new lows, would be to take 3-4 days off from gym which I will not do unless my schedule requires it. I will therefore weigh my self each day but will only record it when it makes sense.

Muscles retain water to help them heal when exercising. When you stop, water is released. When you start again, they hold water again. Staying consistent can help the scale eventually starts moving downward again.

Thanks for that confirmation. Even though I know this, it is a bit frustrating. So silly to let the scale bother us if we know what's going on. When I see my scale reach that weight again, I guess I will actually be 2 or 3 pounds less and not know it. :)
