I have been calorie counting since January. My weight had been increasing steadily for the last year or so and started to feel unhealthy with the excess weight. Something had to be done. I now realise that due to ‘being of a certain age’ I need less calories to maintain weight and even though nothing has changed with regard to diet or exercise I was predisposed to gaining due to peri/menopause. I wish I knew this sooner. So for those that don’t know after 50 you need 200kcal less a day and after 60 it’s 4-500kcal less a day! Who knew?? Certainly not me.
72.5 kg Lost so far: 3.7 kg.    Still to go: 5.9 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.
