Fritzy 22's Journal, 28 Jan 24

Weight is exactly the same as last Sunday. First week in 2024 without a loss. It was too many saltines, some with butter and peanut butter and also making 2 or 3 slices of toast in the middle of one night. Hope to do better this week. I had planned on a baked potato with butter and cheese for breakfast. Found a 6 ounce potato last night to bake. Put the potato in the toaster oven then changed my mind and had a piece of rye roast. Still cooking the potato. Hope to have half tomorrow and half on Wednesday. But the day is young.

I've walked the last 3 days. First drove with Bobby to the park in town, 7 miles from my house. Walked around the blacktop loop for almost 30 minutes. Did not enjoy it. There were too many other people with dogs. Bobby doesn't like other dogs when he is on a leash. The 2nd day I walked on a dirt trail in my neighborhood. It only took 20 minutes to do the loop. Lots of up and down areas, one steep enough to have a hand rail. The orthopedist said walk on a level surface but it's really hard to find where I live. Yesterday we just walked from my house for 40 minutes. The best walk so far, about as level as there is in the neighborhood.

The level surface is to not aggravate the meniscus tear, and arthritis. I highly recommend UC-2 supplement by doctors best brand, which is a powerful collagen supplement. if i shop taking mine, my knee (osteoarthritis) hurts more. My mother in law had surgery on her meniscus tear and it made it worse. I hope your knee will be ok and not need surgery/ doctors are trustworthy if you do need surgery!
