Thoughtful day. I'm encouraged by the honest sharing here and am making an effort to look hard at habits. Good, Bad and mostly....mindless. Mindless habits like following savory with sweet, then savory again. Head scratcher. Eliminating is tough, so I'm looking at substituting low calorie rather than nuts and large cups of coco. Today my last savory was cheddar popcorn and it satisfied. I'm going to substitute coconut water for part of my milk in my coco. Steps. Small steps.

💙just seeing this now. I have watched myself closely in the moments when my thoughts turn to food but I am not hungry. I made it like a game where I attempt to figure out what I want. It is not food that I want because I am not hungry. So what is it then? I play this game with other compulsive behavior as well. Self-observation is worth it every time. 💙 thank you for the reminder. It is helpful. What do I REALLY want? 😅 Typically, it is a form of comfort. Typically, I am scared in some way... in a subtle way...
