So this new journey we are on now, all came thanks to a kick in the pants I got when my dad had a heart attack scare, my parents live with me, and I am one of two cooks in the house.
We are both trying really hard to make the food for all of us healthier, and to stay away from carbs as far as we can, because it turns out it was my dad’s sugar that was all out of wack.
But my dad is 64 and struggling to adjust to not being able to have his normal routine treats, like his rusks in the mornings.
So today I was trying out Keto rusk recipes, I was nibbling on all of them to try and see what they needed, and if the end result was good, and now I have no idea what my actual calorie count for the day is 😅🙈🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
Will see what the scale says on Monday, Keto recipesare delish, but man are they calorie dense!

If you're in South Africa, check out Loafers, Gracious Bakers, Keto Co and We Love Low Carb online. They do a good range of keto breads, biscuits and rusks. Choc-hazelnut rusks, orange and spice biscuits, etc. Low carb frozen meals. I very rarely eat those kinds of things because they can get expensive but it's nice to have something in the house for visitors who want you to join them for coffee and snacks. I can give them full-sugar biscuits or whatever and grab a little individual pack of my sugar-free.
