I fell off my low-carb wagon about a year ago when I broke my arm. I was in a lot of pain and was unable to do much for myself for quite awhile as a result. My friends took care of me - cooked for me, etc. Thank God for good friends. However, in a situation like that I wasn't about to refuse anything anyone was willing to cook for me, or turn away groceries that friends brought to me. As a result, I ended up eating lots of great things I shouldn't have been eating. That, combined with the pain killers I was on, caused the weight to pile on again.
I tried putting on a pair of my "fat" pants this morning while getting ready for work and I wasn't able to zip them up. I have no energy and have constant brain fog. I feel like total crap most of the time. The arm is healed, although I am still in physical therapy to regain full function, but my body is a nightmare. I am gearing up to go back onto a high fat, low carb WOE once again, which has been the only way I've been able to lose weight since hitting my 50's. I'm nervous and not looking forward to feeling like crap until I go back into ketosis, but I've got to do this if I want to feel good again.
