fructose is no different than glucose.

64 g of carbs, 3 g protein, 250 C and a whopping 8 g of fiber. That's a kick-ass healthy breakfast.

This is a typical breakfast of mine, along with black coffee. No need for a snack later because of the filling fiber. Just make sure lunch and supper have significant protein. If you are diabetic, just watch your carbs for the rest of the day.

Fructose, glucose and sucrose are all different, btw. Sucrose (refined white sugar) is one part glucose and one part fructose. To super summarize, fructose doesn't trigger nearly the insulin response that glucose (and thereby sucrose) does. Glucose is found in starchy carb stuff like pasta and potatoes. Too much fructose will still kill ya, but it takes a positively bonkers amount, and definitely not 4 servings of fruit.

With managing my type 2 diabetes, this would raise my insulin way too high. My breakfast usually includes a meat protein (at least 5oz worth, egg for protein and fat, 14g nuts of any kind, and then 1 serving of fruit. For me, that’d be for ex 10 white/red grapes or 1/2 apple or 1/2 of a banana. I love fruit though as a sweet treat!

Hi storms girl you and I share the same thing . I’m a type two diabetic. I have been struggling for so many years with my insulin level so I decided to try fasting. I fast for 20 hours and then eat for four, I do a mix of plant-based foods I do include salmon, tilapia, shrimp, chicken as my go to’s. I should say when I began fasting I started at 8/2, then up to 12/3 until I worked my fasting to 20/4. It’s crazy. I’ve been able to cross my legs and sit on the floor and get up and I have so much energy. It’s incredible I feel so much better but I hope it helps and I wish you luck on your journey and can’t wait to see what other stuff you create.

@rweng.me…I fast from 7 pm - 7 am. But after that, I eat every 4-5 hours. No snacking at all in between. If I go past 5 hours now, I feel I get too low. I also try and eat 500 - 600 calories per more and that also helps the insulin spikes. And mostly whole fresh foods v. processed help. It’s not just what you eat but how much. That’s one of the biggest adjustments I made because in my younger years I could eat anything and everything! Lol Now my body enjoys less food. It feels better. Glad you have more energy and fasting has helped you! Exciting!
