60s Mom's Journal, 14 May 23

So, I’m trying to learn more about healthier eating. I’ve been reading a lot. There are many conflicting articles. What percentage of your diet do you try to make protein. My blood work revealed I’m not getting enough protein. So, how do I increase protein without raising fat too much. I have to watch my cholesterol too. It’s complicated and I really detest fish so that doesn’t help.

I’m a vegetarian so I get my protein through beans, tofu, cottage cheese and Greek Yogurt. I also make peanut butter and banana smoothies with protein powder in them. Protein boost and super filling so it’s basically a meal replacement for me.
