CICO and the gym is continuing to work. Always pleased when the scale moves downward. The brain is a weird thing. Magical thinking keeps wishing that presto, I'll step on the sale one of these Monday mornings and that number will suddenly be at goal. Yeah right. It is the same magical thinking that had me avoiding scales and stuffing whatever I wanted into my face for decades ignoring the real consequences. Then reality hits and obesity related issues raise their ugly heads. Change or die. Two and a half months into this is nothing considering the decades it took to get here. Carry on an ounce at a time.

You must be feeling lighter and more comfortable: I've lost something similar to you and I'm starting to notice bits going in instead of out... my rolly polly tummy is less rolly polly. My feet feel better.
When I want to cut my toenails I just bend over and cut them. :D I don't have to get into advanced yoga positions. :D
You've lost a lot of weight, and you're continuing to go down like you're skiing down a mountain... just straight down. I am so impressed. :)

Motivation is so hard. I've always used food as a coping mechanism too - for bad times & to celebrate good times. Good for you making healthy changes ❤ it's so hard in the beginning. I love to focus on the changes that only I notice, like how much space I take in a chair or how it feels to climb a set of stairs. Sometimes I load up a backpack with 20-30lbs and walk around with it to remind myself I was carrying this (and so much more) for years!! You got this ♥️

Sure seems like you’re making many wonderful changes in your thinking and behaviours. Give yourself lots of credit!
Childhood, ingrained behaviours are difficult to overcome. Awareness is key!
Congratulations on your progress!
