I have only lost 40 lbs and can't imagine how difficult your journey has been. It is a lifestyle change and not a diet and you are very wise to recognize that. Thanks for the inspiration.

Thanks for the inspiring post. I too was at about the same weight as you when I started dieting again. My life had been a series of weight loss to weight gain + extra. I've seen where it leads and I too don't want to go back there. Keep up the motivation and the great work.

Insightful, inspiring and motivating post -- thanks for sharing. I'm just getting started on a 60-lbs. weight loss journey and this was very helpful for 'long-term' planning.

Keep at it. Motivation is the hardest thing. In my 30s, I lost 100 lbs twice, only to gain it back and more. I have found that not following a diet, keeping tabs on my calorie count and not listening to the diet successes and failures of others is what works for me. I'm not going to say awesome work to you. Dieting is a bad strategy. 98% of them fail at some point! I'm going to say -- do one thing every day that you can live with. Those of us with weight issues are no different than those without except we burn calories more slowly and we have just a few things we do differently. Find those things, and change them a tiny bit at a time. The weight comes off slowly and naturally when you do, and you won't revert back because the changes you make are ones that are become a habit. Good luck. No matter your weight, you are a wonderful human being, believe that and the rest is... gravy.

I'm down 130 pounds and it's safe weird how different I feel and how much more energy I have. I have so few pics from the fat years because I refused to be photographed. But now I don't mind seeing myself.
