Darn - it has been a terrible week, every time I turn around someone is having a dinner, cookout or something to do with eating! Ugh! We've got to stop this crap. It is funny how it takes so much work to take off the pounds and no work at all to gain it.

Egad I so hear you...I'm trying to stay below 1000 for 4 days leading up to two lunches this coming week. Deserted island with 1000 cal of gourmet food delivered daily, great music, shark free lagoon in which to swim, music to dance, loads of books, sun tan lotion, seltzer water, ice, shade...now that's a regimen I can work with...hmmm better have a decent bed as well...

one of the things I have learned on my weight loss journey is to put myself first. After so many years of taking care of everyone else and putting ME on the back burner I am finally front and center in my eyes. I feel so much better and am able to do so much more I can't believe it. So when I am invited to food events, I make it very clear what I am doing for me. I don't have a problem being around food, doesn't bother me for others to be eating whatever, but I make darn sure there is something I can eat or I eat before I go. It's really about enjoying family and friends company at these events. I'm not afraid or uncomfortable anymore to put me first and take care of me! I don' feel the need to eat outside my plan just to be polite. Good Luck on Your Journey!
