Tempeh slices in preparation.
Making for the first time using my own made up recipe.. I'll let you know how they turn out :)

Ok, they are done.. making these is one of the best ideas I had recently 😍 it's just that they taste bit different then I wanted them to, so next time I'll have to tweek my marinade a bit.. They all ready in the fridge, waiting for the sandwich time 😁I would highly recommend trying it out!

I have never tried tempeh. Is it similar to tofu? Looks interesting!

@Anne_145 yes, it's fermented soya, same as tofu, but less processed. Has more protein then tofu, but also more calories. All in all, good stuff. You can buy some with flavour, like bacon and things, but plain is cheaper and it's fun to experiment with it 😊 If you try let me know how you liked it.

Oh, suma-ya-c, I would love to know how they prepare it there.. any input on how it tasted or what it was paired with, or anything? Maybe it gives me inspiration for my next experiment 😉

Try Googling tempeh sambal goreng. I think they use oyster sauce or shrimp paste in it. Was lovely. Have never made it but I’m very impressed by your culinary skills xx

I definitely will thank you! :) Oh, skills not needed trust me.. you cut the shape you want, put them into marinade (which can be anything liquidy), leave few hours or over night and then pan fry or bake in the oven.. I do same with tofu, just instead of marinade I mix spices and herbs to cover it with ..
