Even when I eat fruits,I get over my calories because I eat a lot of them.

I've seen that what gets me through is having two pieces of sugar free dark chocolate....it takes the cravings away.

I eat more red meat during my time of month. Lean mince etc. It takes away my sweet craving strangely and keeps me full longer.

Nope, you're not alone. 😊 I do generally feel my clothes are tighter during this time, but return to normal the week after. I think it is just water retention.

Your calorie needs actually increase around menstruation which means you should be eating more to help your body repair! There’s a great period tracking app called FitrWoman that explains all phases of your cycle, what to eat and how to train each week - hope this helps xx

Water retention is my name 🙄 It's really annoying when your weight goes up and you haven't even been 'misbehaving' 😡

Its seldom fat gain as you need to over eat by +/- 7000 cals to gain 1kg of bodyfat. However its water retention due to progesterone which affects aldosterone ( which causes your kidneys to hold back water and salt)

no we are legion. I allow myself to eat whatever I want when I'm on my period

We are meant to eat an extra 150cal per day the week before our period as that's when are bodies are doing the most work. Hence why we're extra hungry

remember your body retains a lot of water during that period,, be soft on yourself
