Feeling bummed today. Wishing I was making more progress on this diet. I did a little research last night on the Atkins website and I think in order for me to jump start my weight loss, I need to stick to the 20 net daily carbs. Lately I have been going over and that is probably why the scale is not budging.

It is very important that you give yourself a 100% clean induction for at least 2 weeks in order to set your body into full scale fat burning. Going over will most likely cause these loses to stop, if not reverse. It also depends on what it is that you are going over. 2 weeks is a small price to pay for better health and increased weight loss. Come on - you can do this. I'm here with you.

Thanks for the encouragement. Today I am doing my second do-over and trying not to sway too far from the guidelines. I am going to go today and buy a kitchen scale so I can weigh everything and stop guessing on how much I am eating. I am also going to stop drinking those darn atkins shakes and replacing it with a low carb meal. I got lazy on trying to figure what to eat and would just replace a meal with a shake. I also need to restock my fridge with snacks but I don't know what to buy besides cheese and pepperoni sticks. I bought some jello but I found myself eating the whole 6 pack in a few days and overdoing it on the whipped cream. Anyone got any other suggestions for snacks? I was eating flavored almonds as a snack but then I found out nuts are not allowed during induction. What to do....What to do.....
