AuntieJan's Journal, 04 Jul 11

(This Post reflects events of Sunday July 3rd)
Really wonderful day in sunny Florida, warm and breezy today but no rain. I went to lunch with a bunch of fellow Nomads after church this morning at the place next door, an Asian-fusion type place with killer food. I got the extra spicy Shrimp Pad Thai and it was yummy!

We had our last service in this building today, next Sunday is our grand opening of the new space, all 6500 sf of it. I will share pictures soon, before and after. What a transformation of a shabby unused warehouse! I hope God will use this space to help us do good stuff. Exciting stuff!

After lunch I went back in to the kid's room to finish the mural, have a few more small details to add but it's mostly complete. I am very happy with how it turned out! I will be proud to add my name to it.

Didn't get home until after 7:00pm so I just heated up some leftovers, chicken with rice and black beans. I spent some time in my studio watching Deadliest Catch (one of my favorite shows!), reading, catching up on facebook and just chilling. I am going to the gym in the morning, then coming home. I have to mow the yard and do a couple loads of laundry but that's it, I am either going fishing or doing something other than paint or housework. Yup.

A lot of fireworks were tonight so I don't know if we'll see any tomorrow or not. I am putting my flag out to fly in the morning.

Well I'd best flutter off to my bed... I have several cats and a dog patiently waiting for me to retire so that they can have their bedtime cookies. They have me well-trained.

Happy 4th of July!

Enjoy your day fishing or doing anything other than painting. You work hard and certainly deserve a break. The spicy shrimp pad Thai sounds delish. Enjoy your day :-)

Hello Auntie! It must be exciting to see all of your painting and hard work turning out so well at Nomad. It will be quite a grand grand opening! The church is certainly very fortunate to have your talents at their disposal. Have a delightful day fishing or whatever tickles your fancy! I think you are long overdue for a day to spend with yourself. Sending you lots of love and hugs to share with the furbabies!

Auntie - I was totally confused for a minute but I think I've got it figured out. You must have journalled after midnight last night because your entry is dated July 4th! Having figured that one out I am glad you (and your cats and dog) had a good day yesterday.

Yep Buffy it was just after midnight when I actually posted it, but it was Sunday's events. Really long day considering I was up before 7 am! It's both interesting and amusing to me how much animals are in tune with your schedule... they know what time bedtime is, when you should be rising and they for SURE know when supper should be served!

Auntie, are you wearing stars and stripes under your Fourth of July clothes? Have a good night, my friend!

Pam, I had a lovely patriotic Flag shirt on earlier but sadly no stars and stripes, good idea though!
