Any idea of vitamins or supplements one can take for energy. Doctors tell me once I get metabolism going the energy level will pick up, but I need energy to workout :)

I have been reading up on potassium, coconut water, electrolyte supplements, etc. Any advise. I take a daily multivitamin, but that is it.

You may want to try a vitamin supplement of B12. It comes in either pill or spray form and has been helpful for me. It's true that once your metabolism starts to increase, so will your energy supply but sometimes it is so hard to sit around and wait for that. I would recommend the B12, propel zero (found at most food chains and Wal*Mart), and a little light walking. I hope this helps you!!

Time to revamp everything you do and eat. I think stretching first thing in the am gives you a good boost to start your day! The foods you eat can weigh you down, mentally and physically so eat clean, and enough calories (it IS YOUR FUEL). Eat plenty but low carbs, more fiber and lean protein. Add the b12, that is good too. Find foods that you like that offer your body nutrients, that makes dieting easier and fun. You need to start small, losing weight is 90% about what you eat or don't then work out, so many give up when they think that can't do both. I didn't start by running far or fast, but I improved on it. :) good luck!

I agree with erinannez. B12 is the safe fix for energy. I am receiving injections with other vitamins. Occasionally I have to include the B12 sublinqual (under the tongue) pill late in the day too.
