I'm so upset right now and went on ate everything I could see last night. I have been pushing and working so incredibly hard to get to a goal that has proven to be unattainable the fat I was trying to loose isn't fat it's loose skin and I have unknowinlgy managed to get down to an unhealthy body fat percentage of around 5 percent!!! I thought I was closer to 16. I bought calipers and tested wit both the 3 point and 7 point method repeatedly and the result were always the same.. I even got a pair of regular digital measuring calipers and measured the opening of the body fat calipers to ensure they were accurate and they are..... I'm devastated I know that these tests can be wrong also and it depends alot in the person administering them but in this case they are hard to fuck up thw skin easily pulls away from the body and there's almost nothing under it. I tried My hardest to get higher readings because I was in denial and still couldn't..I worked so hard with such insane dedication and persistence and I'm left like this. Now I have to put some fat back on because this is just a plain unhealthy level of body fat no wonder rim fucking cold all the time. And all that will do is put me further from the physique I was after. I give up. I would live for all this to be wrong but I. CAnt imagine it is nearly all the caliper readi gs were between 3 and 4 mm with the highest being the navel registering around 6 most times and like I said I even checked the calipers for accuracy with another set of calipers.

I think EVERYONE on FS has days when they eat everything and feel like shit. If you're down to 5% body fat, you know how to adjust that. Eat clean, a few hundred more calories per day than what you burn and within a couple weeks you'll be at a healthy fat percentage. Go easy on yourself, life is too short to be angry at yourself.

OTB...please don't leave😔 We really need you in our community💙 I agree with the advice to be checked by a physician and go from there...and also like the suggestion to just have larger portions of the healthy foods you've been eating. Take care🤗

You have worked so hard, please don't give up! I can tell you some things that helped me but it takes awhile to get there. I put a scoop of collagen powder in my coffee every morning. I was losing my hair when I lost weight but found over time it helps with my skin tone as well. Bone broth is even better. It's more natural and lots of benefits. I have a pace maker so I'm unable to use the fancy scales but according to my nutritionist my BMI is about 19%. Also increasing my protein due to amount of lifting I do has helped a lot. I keep my carbs at about 80-100 grams a day and fat at about 35-50 grams a day. It works great for me. I'm here to support you so please try suggestions everyone is posting. You will find what works for you. Remember, it's a process. 💜💜💪💪

Self education as how this all works is crucial

I'm still trying to process all of this... I never wanted to go this low infact I thought my goal of the look of someone at 14 percent was pretty reasonable and sustainable. The skin is loose everywhere I just didn't realize it except in the stomach... I just pulled it to the side in various spots and I'm fucking shredded underneath full muscle striations and veins everywhere... again this wasn't my goal to get to that spot. Just few answers to questions I'm am grateful for doing this caliper test not upset! I was unknowinlgy driv8ng myself into the ground. Will I get surgery no absolutely not. Will I continue my weight training yes absolutelyi will il Do others have way worse loose skin then me sure they do but I'm struggling with thisneq development right now I don't know what

I lost 50 pounds in a year which isn't real fast but I have a lot of hanging skin. So it is hard to tell really how much fat I have left to get rid of. I know I stalled at some point and have kind of stayed there. If you exercise a lot while dieting it is easy to get to an unhealthy BMI. My son did that when he lost 125 pounds in a year doing South Beach and daily TaeKwondo. He got his black belt but he should have eaten more for that much weight loss. And he ended up with a lot of hanging skin. It takes time for that to tone up and on some people it doesn't. It will happen for you. You look great.

Same here at 11% but slowly tightening. I use the US Navy method and all of these methods are approximate. Hang in there.

All good suggestions and encouragement here! I'm 67 years old and 105# lighter than I was 3 years ago. I was truly identifying as a "Saggy Baggy" old lady for several months. Now after 6-8 months my body has adapted to the less filler plan. I am now in the "Slightly Baggy" category. I truly believe with a little "Fluff and Buff" you will be even more Amazing! You just have to allow your skin to catch up.

So many good posts here, though I didn’t read them all. You will figure it out. I’m no expert. Just don’t quit. Stay and I’m sure some experts here can guide you with suggestions how to move forward. Take a few days, go for a swing, climb a wall, watch some bears and eat some jerky and Fibre one, no, not together! YUCK!!! 😂😂😂

OTB, please don’t quit. You bring so much positive energy to this group! Put some fat on those bones and keep building muscle. Your skin will bounce back. Eat healthy fats and use moisturizer! You will get there

It sounds like your journey has phases, and what you thought was going to be the end of the journey was only the end of phase 1. So, time to pull out some more patience and start on phase 2. Take a bit of down time and plan a good phase 2. Grow some muscle while you wait for your skin to shrink some. You are smart and experienced enough to know patience is always required. I’ve (all of us) got faith in you. Just calm down, regroup, and plan your next phase.

you need to add a little collagen to your lotion that you apply to your skin. and give it a little time it will shrink naturally on its own somewhat. to make yourself feel better go to instaslim and get you some of their undershirts. they help you keep the skin under control while you're getting it to shrink. they are the only garments that I have found that are 28% spandex

Don't quit OTB. You're awesome, hang in there. You'll get through this.

Feeling ok bro? Hope you are now. That is to be expected I guess. What are you plans next?

This is what I want to do: to go down so much that I have saggy skin, and can feel confident I've got all the fat off, and then hopefully the skin will tighten up over time. I know there is lag to be had; you lose weight fast, the skin takes a little longer to shrink back up. Give yourself three months at this weight and then maybe cautiously put back on a couple of kg? You've done an incredible job but it isn't the end of the journey; you're now at goal and have to maintain at that level for long enough for your skin to catch up. If it does not catch up, that's when you need to be upset and look for an answer. But you're young aren't you? under 50? you should shrink. :)
