I would advise people who are on a journey towards losing weight and keeping your weight down. Do not be fooled by these crash diets that will leave you feeling hungrier and depleted of energy. It has taken me 3 years to learn and understand how my body responds to food. Find your calorie deficit range whether it's progressive weight loss or maintenance and stick to that. Supplement your diet with weight training at least 4 days a week.

For a beginner like myself who is overweight and I carry most of weight on my upper body. Will I not "bulk" up more when doing weight training?

Wetsok I have started following a body builder on YouTube jonni Shreve. He is an IFBB pro and provides criticism and better ways to perform exercises that focus on certain muscle groups. Give his YouTube page a go and you may find some tips. Most importantly is commitment. Do not expect to see results overnight. Stick to the program and be patient because results will show with time.

Thank you all for the comments.
Living healthier is a lifestyle choice and it can be difficult to change bad eating habits. However once you eat better and exercise regularly you feel the overall difference in your bodies energy level and even your sleeping patterns improve.
I hope you all reach your goals and crush it this spring.
