Boys played an awesome game last night, but we ended up losing. So back to ballpark tonight at 5pm. They had a huge rally comeback and got the score from 9 - 0 to 9 - 7. Then we were at 12 - 11. Errors got us in the 5th and 6th innings, so we lost 18 - 11. Our boys are so hard on themselves too. Hard to see 7-8 year olds putting so much pressure on themselves. The coaches are great with them and kept reminding them to relax, have fun. The team we played is undefeated. Our guys are really intiminidated by them we think. The boys are able to play well against them, the boys just let their emotions and frustration get to the best of them and they start making bad throws, miss balls, etc.
Here's to a great game tonight. If we win at 5, then play again at 7:30. It is going to be a long night at the ballpark. I am eating well during the day so I can drink a slim fast and eat light for dinner whenever that time might be.
Overslept this morning and missed my workout, so I am really dragging. Waiting on TOM to hit as well so the bloat will stop. I am one of those that bloats before until that time actually happens.
Rain in the area which is a blessing, but is also making it really muggy outside right now. Just makes you want to sit in the air conditioning and do nothing.

i'm the same way with my TOM. how annoying is that?! the scale was gorgeous while i was on it, although i didn't think it would be. lol!

That's what happens to me with the scale during TOM. Weird, huh? Oh man those games must be so exciting! I love big rallies. And I love baseball! Woo hoo to summer ball! : ) Good luck to the boys tonight.

Unfortunately the team took 3rd place so they will not be advancing to the District Tournament. They lost by 1 point. We just didn't have good luck on our side. We should have won by 1 point, but the ball rolled and hit the foot of one of the players running in. Since the other team had not touched it, that player was called out. He and the guy on 3rd base had run in for 2 runs. The 3rd base guy had to go back to third. So 1 out, then the next 2 batters, which are normally strong hitters, struck out. Game over! So disappointing for the boys. They had a great season, just their nerves got them during the tournament. Our strong hitters were not hitting this tournament, bad throws when in-field. They are so hard on themselves too. Most all the team will be together again next year (only a couple will have to move up to the next level), so they will give it another run then!

Aw, sorry for the boys being disappointed. It's great that their coach reminds them to have fun! So do they get a break from competition now, or is something else starting up? Have a great day!

We are done. Nathan might play flag football this fall, but it is just Normangee boys against Normangee boys, more fun than true competition. He doesn't enjoy basketball so won't be back in true competitive sports til next Spring when baseball starts back up :)
