I do know if you are lifting weights/doing non aerobic exercise your muscles tend to retain quite a bit of water in the beginning

Don’t be disheartened, picking up muscle mass before dropping fat is normal. It’s also difficult to keep to daily caloric intake when starting to exercise because your appetite tends to increase. Obviously don’t know what you’re doing at the moment but keep these in mind and soldier on x
