Some of these cheap foods aren't as bad as some people think. This pizza has more protein (34g) than fat (25.2g).

I know it's not super nutritious was just a point that it doesn't have to be expensive to hit protein goals. I much prefer a curry or a nice big salad. I also regularly have whey protein to hit the numbers and I drink more green tea than any other drink these days. It's actually been a while since I last had a pizza!

It's certainly cheap nutrition. 67p at Tesco for ~750 calories of food. Maybe not the best choice for everyday eating because of all the fats and other additives and preservatives. Personally I prefer a tin of tuna and a baked potato but people like what they like.

In today's cost of living crisis, it's survival for many. I'm having a salad today though.😎

Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) has 'cheat days' I'm calling yesterday a cheat day.🤪 Still lost 0.1kg this morning too.

Been thinking about this (I'm a bit slow). For someone managing cost of living, needing maximum nutrition for minimum cost, 2 pints of semi-skimmed milk is the same price as that pizza, and contains 40g of really high quality protein, less carbs and fats, no additives. If you want more or less fats, whole milk and skimmed are the same price. Of course, some people can't stomach milk, others can't eat pizza. But for us omnivores, it's a valid choice.

I think the real point here was, do what you can within your means. Many are skint most days because of our crappy government etc. so just try to hit targets where you can. Everyone has bad days, cheat days are ok occasionally and perhaps most importantly of all, don't beat yourself up if you don't hit a target. Tomorrow is another day to get back on it again. Glass half full talk.😁
