Jesus said this, "In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father."
The world is looking for Christians that look and act like Christ. I think the world would be far less offended by us if we did.
I also think this can apply to our battle against the bulge. When the world see us overcoming so much through Christ and His help, it not only inspires them, but they often want that same help and will seek what you have done, which opens an opportunity for you to share the Gospel.
