AuntieJan's Journal, 11 May 11

Really long, tiring day. I have never been so glad that I go to the gym so often, it is paying off in dividends other than weight loss. My sister is really going to need me now more than ever. My BIL is slowly slipping away from us, and thank God I am strong now both mentally and physically. I got really nuttin' else tonight to write about, so tomorrow is another day, said Scarlett.

Peace to all.

You are so right about the benefits of working out at the gym. You are conditioning your mental and emotional fortitude as well as strengthening your body and losing weight. You truly need some time to get out of your home environment to decompress and sort out yourself. You are a wonderful sister, but to take care of others, you have to take care of yourself! Have a good night Auntie Jan and God bless you! Until tomorrow, my friend.

Jan, so sorry about your BIL...but you are right. The benefits of eating well and working out will stand you in good stead during these trying times. Pamela is right, we cannot take care of others unless we take care of ourselves first! God bless and have a good evening!

Thank you both for the kind thoughts and support. I actually got in bed around 10:30 last night, so I am much more rested this morning. I can do it for another day! We are so thankful for Hospice, they are here every day and they are awesome.

Thank you Tracy! Yep, it's me, can you believe it? I feel so energized most of the time that when I feel run down and tired, I know I am overextending myself and I take care to make adjustments including more sleep. I have finally learned how to back off when I need to, and trust me that lesson was hard to learn! Have a great day!
