That’s a pity! Did you stop eating keto? I have realised although tiring, it will be the way I need to eat forever. With a few slices of birthday cake here and there only 😆

I did the same thing end of last year 😩 I learned some important lessons and started again from a better place. Dust yourself off. I know you can do it too 🤗

Maybe you just go into a calorie deficit… its more sustainable then a keto diet

Have you tried a basic calorie deficit diet. Keto is for people with specific insulin and health issues. I tried keto in 2019/20...always struggled to lose and eventually when I switched over to basic calorie deficit, I lost weight and reached goal. been at goal for 6 months now...

Keto isn’t for everybody and neither is just calorie counting. Sometimes what works for one body doesn’t work for others, the best thing is we keep trying until we find what works for us and what we can stick to long term! Hugs to you and hope you find that. I found that in Keto, but others have found that in other things. And it’s ok that we are all different❤️

I completely agree keto isn't for everyone - personally I have never felt better, I feel like i eat like a king and I don't feel hungry or deprived, that said like others have said some find they cannot keep it up forever, or they don't have the specific health issues that keto targets, like insulin issues, hormone imbalances etc. I believe and accept that I will also have to eat this way, fairly low carb with carbs coming exclusively from vegetables, forever, with a cheat meal sparsely interspersed. If you don't have any underlying health issues CICO should work for you. Either way, weight loss takes time unfortunately, and if you bounced back and gained weight it is possible that you went through a period of serious restriction and then stopped at goal weight and then went back to your old eating habits - whether keto or CICO most people find they also need to learn "how" to eat entirely from the beginning, and establish a healthy relationship with food. Most of us reached where we are because of disordered eating, and that needs to be resolved mentally and emotionally because if you go back to the habits that got you there in the first place you'll end up right back where you were. I'm sorry this happened to you, we've all experienced some level of failure on this but if you put your mind to it you can win again ❤️

I did keto for a looong time. I made more progress switching back to a 30%-40% carb, 30% fat diet, 30%-40% protein diet. Also way happier when I get to eat carbs. Keto just wasn't sustainable for me. (I love carbs!) But it does work if you're able to make it a lifestyle change. You should adopt an eating style that you can stick to! Otherwise chances ate big you'll just regain everything you've lost once you change your eating style again.

That's what I'm afraid of doing this Keto, Mediterranean, Intermittent Fasting etc., decided just to stick to my diet that I've been doing all these years and rather just do a calorie deficit with that, which have proven me my eating habits have been good all along. My calorie deficit didn't change the amounts I've been eating just what times I'm mostly eating nowadays.

The exact same thing happened to me on keto. Lovely weight loss, but just not sustainable every time if yo yo'd back. I'm sure it's hormonal...? Since getting covid last year June I have Parosmia so I can't stand the smell of meat ever since. I have become vegetarian and loving it!! Slow and steady progress since Jan this year. Feeling like a million bux too. Am doing the vshred workouts but not their eating plan. The workouts are soooo manageable, I am super lazy and they don't feel unbearable like all other types of exercises. I highly recommend! Best once off R700 iv ever spent. I find with the eating the best for me is to "trick" my metabolism. One day I'll have breakfast lunch and supper, the next only supper, the next breakfast and lunch etc.

Some blood groups work really well with keto. I've been a carnivore all my life. After covid, my taste and craving for red meat dropped to about once or twice a month. Turns out my blood type is more compatible with fruits, veggies, and fish.
