gigi728's Journal, 06 May 11

I started Weight Watchers in April 2010 as part of their Weight Watchers at work program. My total weight loss thus far is 20 lbs. which is not much considering all the exercise I've been doing 4-5 days per week. I eat healthy but my weight just keeps tottering around the same number on the scale. This week I am trying something different in that I am not eating any bread/rice/pasta. Keeping the carbs down and focusing on eating fruits, veg. and lean proteins like turkey, fish. The scale is going down already but I miss my bread! I'm just going to see how long I can keep this up. This is usually what I have to do to lose it. My next official weigh in is on Tuesday so we'll see what happens.

You sound alot like me- I lost 20 pds on WW after high school some 10 years ago and then proceeded to gain it back. I then tried South Beach and lost 22 pds, but have gained 14 of those back! Always a struggle for me. I started WW again last Saturday. I always go back to WW because it does help me with portion control. Good luck!

Twenty pounds is amazing. Pick up four 5 pound bags of sugar and try carrying the around for a while. That is a lot of weight. WW isn't a fast weight loss program, but if you stick with it, you will lose. Great job!
