What this app needs is a 'fat removal' option to make everyone's lives easier. All products should have the option of fat removal where you can trim the fat off meat and then weigh the fat to remove fat calories (usually around 9 calories per gram, but could be adjustable to suit) to get the correct calories from the products you are eating. This can also include pure oil caught dripping off food when cooking. Give this a like if you agree, then maybe Fatsecret will add it!

I prefer the calories showing slightly more, hence higher chance of eating under the required amount.

I know what you mean I do overrate the amount of calories I have, but with a fat removal option, you could still underrate the amount removed and get more accurate results on other macros rather than just lowering the weight of food to get the correct amount of calories.

A lot of food is already there under "lean" or "fat trimmed" when you search. The pain isvin the exact search term. Then remembering it next time.

It would be much easier than adding an entirely new product each time but with a lower amount of fat. Also there's variables to take into account such as oily water removed rather than oil etc. etc.
