I did it! I finally did a whole 20 minute session on the elliptical machine this morning... followed by 20 on the treadmill using a combination of both walking 3.5-3.8 mph and jogging 4.2-4.5 mph. Skipped the weight machines today, just stretching and cardio. Plus work continues on studio, that's almost enough work on its own. So take that Mr. E... you are now firmly in my sites!!! Next up... higher levels of intensity. Gotta keep changing it to prevent burnout and plateau, which I may have hit. Scale hasn't budged so far this week, but I had this happen last month too, then the following week it was *boom* hello lower numbers. I'll be happy to break out of those 50's, yes ma'am. It will be soon, too. Next week will be a whole different game... while at my friend's house I probably won't go to the gym every day because that Planet Fitness is about 10 miles away, and with gas prices so high I think I'll just take advantage of the pool and an excellent walking/biking path nearby. I'll take my dog with me there. I found a couple pics of my furkids I thought I'd share today... This is Onyx, I brought her home from a vet I worked for a few years ago. She was brought for boarding and never picked up. She is my foofy black shadow! And this is Snickers, one of three orphan kittens I brought home and bottle fed. They never left of course. This is Skeeter, my boy kitty of the bottle kittens... he's batting at the radar animation, my weather cat! And this all three of them, they were "helping" me unpack Christmas ornaments. And last but not least, my sweet Molly, who will be ten this year. I've had since she was a tiny puppy. Have a super day! Back to work for me now.

Great job on your exercising, Jan. One of these days, Mr. E. will realize that you are a force to be reckoned with! I absolutely love your furfamily. They are all so beautiful and obviously well-loved. I hope Molly will enjoy the change of scenery as much as you will. Is Sister going to take care of the felines for you while you're away? I'm sure they'll miss you!

Hi I am Bren and I just wanted say I love your family. They are so cute
and thanks for sharing with all of us.... Have a great evening.....
|
Yes you're right Tracy, Molly is very content to let the kitties do as they please... unless they get to close to her chewy treat, there she draws the line LOL. ☺ Thank you Pam, you know Mr. E has ceased with the snide remarks when I'm next door on his neighbor the Treadmill... but I hear from the dumbbells (you know how they gossip) that he still has some unflattering remarks to say behind my back. He'll soon learn to keep his mouth shut. ☺

Hi there Bren thank you for visiting my journal, I do love my furkids. They are a constant companions, don't care how I look in my underwear, and as Pam says, golden opportunities to practice, patience, serenity, and laughter!!!

Jan, I forgot to mention how much I liked the tablecloth that Onyx is lounging (or is it posing?) on. It makes such a lovely and fun statement!
|
Thanks Pam! It is a high class dollar store purchase, now put back out for its second summer on the porch. I think I paid $6 for it, and the plastic tray behind Onyx matches it, there were other matching items but I passed on those. And yes it is posing... or maybe a bit of both!
