I’m closing out the month of January after losing 15 lbs!

Now if you didn’t know my journey, you might say “well he’s just really lucky”, or “men lose weight so easily”, or a host of other things I’ve heard. But for nearly 6 months last summer and fall, I hit a major plateau. Not because I was sitting around eating candy bars or junk food, because I was still strict on eating well and exercising, but nothing seemed to matter.

Fast forward to January, I decided that I wouldn’t exceed 1600 calories per day. Second, every meal would include AT LEAST one serving of vegetables. Lastly, I have drastically reduced my “keto eating” (lots of meat) and reduced meat and protein intake to no more than 3 oz per meal. With all these things together, I’ve been losing almost a half pound per day, and I’m 2 lbs away from my goal weight. Additionally, after I dropped below 160, that put me at 40 lbs lost and counting since I started almost 18 months ago. I’m ready to get to 155 and keep the goodness going! But I’m using this time to encourage others that have hit a plateau or have seen their weight loss slow down significantly, that this is the time when you stay committed, don’t give up, and dig a little deeper to break through! It’s tough work, but totally worth it!
