Looking back at my diet entries for just the last few days and I can see that I have to ditch the drinking. It isn't supposed to count as carbs, but it keeps you from burning calories because the body tries to get rid of it first. I am not doing myself any favors when my husband asks if I want anything when he is getting his evening drink and I say sure! For some reason, I just keep going. Just one more. Plus, it screws with my sleep, makes me feel hot because of my age.
It is like when I smoked, I have to work at not doing it. Must have an addictive personality. I am healthy in so many ways in my life, just keep getting sucked into this kind of behavior. Not getting drunk, but does any woman need 3 beers in one night!!!??? Really?
Ok, so I am giving myself the slap in the face and will remind myself how much better I feel and do when I just say - "No thanks!" Starting tonight!!!!

Oh, alcohol is hard for me, too. My husband and I love get margaritas and then taste each other's and critique them. It's our private quest...to find a perfect margarita! And, I love red wine. I am drinking far less though. I think it's a positive development.
