Doncocor's Journal, 16 Oct 21

I have been so good about not eating and snacking for so long. But today I was so hungry and I said to myself "You know what? I work out everyday and eat well every day why shouldn't I treat myself today and go above the 1500's calories I limit myself to?" So I did. I ate an extra 400 calories! I had Doritos and three small oven roasted chicken thighs. I am writing here because I think I need to remind myself that I can go up and down and still working on myself. It was good and I enjoyed it. I feel guilty so that's why I'm telling on myself.

Yes! There’s a big difference between a decision and an impulse. Be gentle with yourself!

One day isn't going to do anything to what you've done so far.

I love that you wrote this as I have done the same on occasion. It's such a weird feeling now to have the control to get back to on track. Im also at the gym everyday and working hard to stay on track. Congratulations!

If you put in the work sometimes you just need to treat yourself a day sometimes even two in moderation isn’t going to hurt you ! Be kind to yourself ! 🙏🤍

We all need to give ourselves permission to satisfy our cravings from time to time or the weight loss will not be sustainable. 400 calories is perfectly fine - and, you enjoyed it :)
