Bit of a set back with the weight-loss program. Have what i suspect is Achilles Tendonitis; probably caused by working hard on the treadmill these past few weeks & months.
Seems ironic that I end up getting injured trying to lose weight and thus take a burden off of my ankles in terms of that extra weight!
The recommendation is to take some time off, ice-pack the tendon as much as possible, don't do so much walking, basically give my right foot a few days off from any hard activity.
In addition I have ordered an ankle support along with some multi-amino acid tablets, that are supposed to be great for repairing tendon damage/inflammation. So it could be 2 or 3 weeks before I'm back on the 'mill again, and even then I'll have to take it easy for awhile. As such I will probably put on a couple of pounds.
