While I quite enjoyed keto, I wasn't able to lose a lot of weight and my cholesterol numbers increased...Drs want me to increase meds and back off the keto plan for the time being. It was a 4 - 5 month journey with minimal results. Sadly.

Sorry about that. It’s strange that keto did not help lower your cholesterol - I’ve been told that’s the best diet for cholesterol. Personally I have not tried, tbh. Have you tried to do some Intermittent Fasting? I think IF helps too. Some people not matter what they do, their cholesterol will always be high. It’s just hoe their body functions. I’m one of those. No matter how healthy I eat and how much exercise I do, my cholesterol is always high, but in my case however, it’s not too high - just a little, and I have the good cholesterol high as well, so for now my doctor said no need for medication, but probably as I get older I may need to be in meds.

Thanks for your support and feedback, according to my cardiologist and research that I have done keto actually often raises cholesterol. My numbers have dramatically increased while on it, so it is time to make a change. I was off meds prior to going on the keto plan as my numbers had improved enough to come off cholesterol meds. I was doing IF at 16/8. This chapter with keto has come to an end for me.
