Yep, this just happened to me. It's like I was turning a blind eye to my growing stomach because I was getting so strong and still looked cut in a tank top but now that I'm focusing on fat loss, the fat remaining is more apparent lol. Looking great Ada!

I did not see myself as smaller when I was in the low obese range but I was older and dressed better; the look didn't bother me near as much when I was younger. But I'm glad to weigh less now.

I totally agree with the body image thing. It has taken a long time, but my body weight is finally the most 'normal' that it has ever been. People who haven't seen me are afraid to comment because they are afraid the weight loss may be related to illness, when in fact it has been the result of years of hard work and I feel Great!
But...although I can feel that there is less mass of me, I still have the idea of myself as a heavy person, which I really didn't think about when I was a heavy person, because I was fit and was able to carry the weight well(except for pain in hips and knees- totally gone now!) Now the loose skin and little extra fat that I would still like to loose are more on my mind than ever. Maybe its good- I must never loose my focus - have worked too hard at this transformation and it does feel good!
I am so proud of everyone of us who is working at achieving our goals, however long and difficult the process! I am also a little disappointed when people give up on themselves, or don't believe that lifestyle change is desirable or possible. I get it. I've been there. I just know that it isn't as difficult or as impossoble as it seems.

@hebrews, thank you! I've heard that I look smaller than I weigh almost all my life. I've looked into 'body types' and think I fall into the mesomorph category. Which means I may just have more muscle than other body types (even if it's not seen)...which makes me look smaller than I really am. I've gotten my weight low enough to be in the "normal BMI" category a couple times in the past when I was younger and honestly, I looked kind of scary lol.

you look gorgeous in both, but it's a big difference. 😃 I understand though. I have days I feel huge despite being nearly half the weight I used to be. I'm still obese though! congrats on getting so far.

You look beautiful! ❤️ Congrats to you! And I agree totally with the body image statement. I would know I was fat but then see a picture and be shocked by just how big I really was. You have a great figure!
