Ok, I have been very successful in cutting the sugar, white flour, pasta, potatoes but the weight is not falling off. So I went to the Atkins induction and am trying to figure it out. I found an ebook Atkins Diet, The Induction Phase by Chance Alexander, RN. The pointers section says 30% proteins, 5% net carbs and 65% fats. Keep the calories between 1200 and 2000. Drink at least 8 eight oz glasses of water. So I am back to day 1 and am focusing on the ratios and calories. I'm just not 30 years old anymore and I am going to have to be very diligent as to what I eat and drink and keep meticulous records.
