I feel so guilty. I have been doing good. I wear a Fitbit that tells me how many calories I burn in a day and I have been trying hard to have a 500kcal deficit everyday. Well today my friend bought me dinner because I helped with a project. So today I had close to a 500kcal surplus in consumption. I really want to stay focused and should have packed a to go dinner. I didn’t realize the project would take so long and I didn’t realize the dinner was so high in calories. I thought it would push me to break even but not to go over by so much.

500 calories? That’s only a little over 2 ounces in real weight.
Drink lots of water and get back on track. Unless what you had was also a high sodium meal, your overage probably won’t even show up on your scale.
Don’t be so hard on yourself! A momentary slip is common to all of us. Unless it becomes a habit, it’s just a short break; and we all need one of those at times 💕

Just 1 meal over your calories limit per day...will not sabotage your weekly goal. Don't forget we are only humans 💜

There is not anything to be feeling guilty about. You are making a lifestyle change, included in that is enjoying life and those pleasures that come along like a lovely meal with lovely company. One meal will not break you. This is a long term change , enjoy the moments and in the morning reset
