Do you fast for 24 hours in between? Do you eat normally on the non- fasting days? I'm doing 16/8, but weight has been very slow coming off, so always curious to hear about other types of fasting.

24h always otherwise minimum 22h also what is the key when you break yr fast is with Lean protein only than wait for an hour to have a bigger meal. You can not mix carbs with fats. That’s a big NO no🙅🏼‍♀️.

On non fasting day I eat high protein meals with Keto style mix. For breakfast I have meat with fats, lunch meat with low glycemic index like chick peas or sweet potatoes and dinner meat with veg

sumaiymc Try to do 20/4 regiment, maybe not every day but 3-4 in a week, that works for me. I normally doing 16/8 with keto 1200 cal, but 16/8 doesn't work for me for loosing weight, I only doing it to be able to eat bigger meals twice a day. And when I want to loose I'm doing 20/4 fast plus exercises.

Just 1200? Girl I would die of hunger 😩🤭😰😵‍💫🤤. 1800 minimum preventing my digestive system from slowing down 🙅🏼‍♀️.

Yes, unfortunately. For me is this limit at the moment. I have thyroid issues, so to loose weight is more difficult 😫

Hvezda, I don't think about what I break my fast with. Need to look into this more, thanks x. Yulia, I find 16 a struggle. I've managed a few 18hours but get really lightheaded beyond that. Any tips for managing the longer fasts?

Please do look into it . How I started really was by a video popped up pon my YouTube . His name is Thomas DeLaure . He is fab , explains how to break fast and how to manage fast for men and females and what to eat ect. He posts videos every single day 👍🏻. On my fasting day I drink apple cider vinegar after coffee and during the day I drink water with teaspoon of Himalayan salt for my electro lights also green tea . When I started I struggled only for a few days and than my body just adjusted and makes me feel so so good 😊 . Do not give up and look into it 👍🏻

One most important very crucial thing is how you break yr fast . Just imagine you starve your body for the whole day , yr insulin is lovely stable very low and yr cells just patiently waiting for the first meal so as soon u eat yr cells open up and if you mix fats with carbs that’s the worst mix and everything will go into storage and you just wasted all yr hard work 😓. Just check the YouTube guy out , he is amazing, he will give you all the answers you questioning 👍🏻

Thank you so much, I'll look him up. I watch a lot of Jason Fung, but he doesn't really go into specifics as much as I thought.

sumaiyamc Hi, I only could go into longer fasts with time, after my body got used to fasts and also after being on keto diet for a while, I felt OK because my body didn't starve but was feeding on my own fat. I'd say listen to your body, little by little you'll get there naturally, without much sacrifice. Good luck 😉

Ah, also about Jason Fung, I think he doesn't go into much specifics because he wants people to buy his books (and I did 😅). But he has his channel on YouTube now, where he says more details. I also watch channel that Hvezda suggested, the guy is really good
