Ok gang after 3 weeks of no loss/gain (which is not a bad thing just not what I was hoping for) I have decided to give a product by Complete Nutrition a try. A friend of mine tried their "Reveal" program with success.

Here is some information from their website.

Reveal makes weight loss simple. By addressing the three most important aspects of weight loss
metabolism
sleep/relaxation
toning

Reveal acts as a 1-2-3 punch that gives you the simples and most effective approach to losing weight!

Rev Up Your Metabolism
reveal DAYTIME HYBRID
Have you ever noticed as you age, you tend to gain more weight even though you haven't changed your diet or exercise habits? That's because our metabolism slows down, causing the body to store fat.

Reveal's new Daytime Hybrid combines technologies that give your slowing metabolism a jolt to stimulate energy levels and rev up your metabolism to support fat loss.*

What does "Hybrid" mean? Hybrid means the combination of two or more things to create something new. Reveal's Daytime Hybrid combines two technologies by providing energy and metabolism enhancers, while adding a new mood enhancing blend, setting the state for stress relief and relaxation later on.*

EAT, SLEEP & LOSE WEIGHT
reveal NIGHTTIME HYBRID
Diet and exercise and you'll lose weight, right? Wrong. Research shows overwhelmingly, that quality of sleep may be the single most important factor when it comes to losing weight.

That is why Reveal's new Nighttime Hybrid contains a stress/cortisol blocker designed to reduce anxiety and increase relaxation and sleep quality. It also contains key blends which increase metabolism, decrease appetite and help regulate thyroid functions while you sleep.*

How does this "Hybrid" formula work? Reveal's Nighttime Hybrid combines three technologies by attacking stress, metabolism and appetite, but the most important benefit is the improved sleep quality that you'll receive, resulting in increased weight loss.*

Shrink Stubborn Fat Cells
Tone Body Toner
Actually, this product has so many positive health benefits associated with it, you should be taking it everyday, regardless of whether or not you are trying to lose weight.

TONE attacks stubborn fat by shrinking fat cells while maintaining existing lean muscle. The active ingredients in TONE are clinically tested and safe for supporting fat loss, maintaining normal cholesterol levels and promoting healthy heart functions.*

The program is currently on special for $139.99 which will be a 2 month supply. My friend who used it lost 25 pounds in those 2 months and now has kept that off and lost more just continuing on the Night Time product. She really feels the Night Time is helping her with sleep and she feels good in the morning. She didn't take for a few weeks and felt sluggish so decided to at least buy that product even after discontinuing the entire 3 part system.

Has anyone out in FS land tried this product or know of anyone that has. I had considered talking to my doctor about Phenteremine with my sister-in-law is currently on and has lost 15 pounds in a month, but decided to go this route instead. I like the idea of feeling energized again! Even after workouts I am no longer getting the rush I got in 2009.

Any comments, suggestions or advise would be appreciated.

Wow, that is costly (to me. I would hope it is worth it. Let us know what you think of it, and good luck.

I am going to continue to ponder this week and make a decision. Unfortunately it is bundled in a 2 month supply so you can't just buy 1 month. They did indicate that if not satified I can take it back for store credit which they sell protein shakes, vitamins, etc. The program doesn't have a money back guarantee though. I am meeting with my OB next Friday so plan to talk to him too for some suggestions, thinking of seeing an Endocronologist. A co-worker saw one recently who has gotten her hormones and thyroid working right and she lost 25 pounds and went from a 14 to a 6 in 3 months. She has kept it off too, no exercise, just the normal day to day activities and watching what she eats.

I totally believe the part about sleep. But, yeah, like Deana, I think it sounds expensive. I read an article in which women lost, on average, six pounds in eight weeks just by adding an extra hour of sleep. And it didn't cost a penny! I can see how it would be helpful to follow a program. Honestly (and I have nothing to do with this website, it just really helped me) you should check out the Peertrainer website. They have a lot of helpful info about getting more energy (from food and exercise) and you don't have to pay for their articles.

Also, there are supplements (which they mention on the Peertrainer website) you can get that won't be as expensive. Anything that makes you pay in advance always seems a little sketchy to me...Maybe see what's in the product and get it yourself.

Also, one last thing--just from being on this site for a couple years and just watching people like my mom struggle with her weight since we were little kids I will say that easy off usually equals easy on, plus extra. I know it's frustrating but slow and steady really does win the race. Ok--stepping off my soapbox now.

Thanks for all that insite beets_yum. I am guessing I am just getting to the frustration/desperation point. I have watched a co-worker loose a ton of weight since September by simply getting her thyroid meds changed and taking cortisol. She went from 152 to 136 as of Monday. She began the new thyroids the end of September. She is now wanting to lose an additional 10. She is an inch shorter than me. So based on our BMI we should be the same weight range of 109-135. She looks so good, has energy again, etc. My thyroids have always checked good but maybe there is some other underlying reason why I feel sluggish, have no energy, can't shed the weight. I have been 3 weeks now, with now weight change which I shouldn't complain, I haven't gained right!!

I have no input about REVEAL. I do know that over the years I have tried a kazillion supplements and quite frankly the only thing that has worked is exercise and watching what I eat. I think making sure you have enough vitamin D, omegas, and some other vitamins are helpful but I steer clear of anyone promising to shrink my fat cells!! LOL!!! I wanted to thank you for the vote of confidence you left on my journal today. Steady does win the race my dear ... we just need to stay our respective courses ... not stress about the "numbers" ... and treat ourselves with kindness!!! It is difficult sometimes, especially when we lost, gained, and are losing again ... but it is after all a journey that never really ends!!! Take care!!

One thing to think about: Your calorie levels are very low or your diet calendar isn't complete. Is there any reason you are eating so little? If it's just that you aren't recording everything, it could be that you need to do that more accurately. I found when I stopped losing weight (which happens to everyone no matter what you do) it usually stemmed from me either eating too little or not being very good about recording what I ate. If you really are eating what your diet calendar says, it would completely explain why you feel sluggish with no energy. Fuel gives you energy- and fuel for the body is food! Hope you work it out soon!

This sounds rather gimmicky to me. What happens after 2 months? From my understanding a fat cell is a fat cell, no big ones and small ones just more or less of them. Sorry, I don't think I would go for this, but if you do....best of luck with it. Keep us posted.

Thanks everyone. All your advise has helped greatly. @K8yk...no I am not keeping up with my calendar well. I am going to try March for that to be my goal. I normally try to target 1200-1500 calories/daily. I do need to be better at charting so that I can see my true intake. When I was on WW that did help becuase I was constantly inputting food into diary to see where my points were at.
