Well, we enjoyed a beautiful weather here today! 65 degrees! Yeah! The only down side was my sunglasses are broken and the sun gave me a huge headache all day. The upside is I did my Monday weights at the gym and then met my w/o buddy at a large park and did a run/ walk combo for an hour outside. We did quite a bit of running, but also quite a bit of stopping and starting. I find it very hard to run and talk at the same time and we needed to chat.

I do not feel as strong as I was when I was following my triathlon training schedule. I can also feel how much more weak I am doing weights b/c I have been onlyh doing them one day a week. I really need to up that to at least 2. I am thinking I might try to get back on a 2-3 month training schedule before the sprint triathlon in July. Even with work it should be more do-able b/c of the weather being nicer outside later.

So, I feel good about today and know good choices were made overall. I feel I have been really struggling lately with eating too many sweets when I have something special available and I can really feel the difference of 2 added extra pounds on my belly. It is really surprising how 2 lbs extra right now makes me feel the difference of slim to too puffy in the stomach. I'm trying to get back in the game mentally and stay strong physically too.

I hope you all are able to have some nice weather in your areas too. Have a good week.

I enjoy reading the journals of the superhealthy (i.e. yours). :-) Take it all the way and try to perfect your eating and exercise habits to create the best possible you. What could you eat in place of those sweets that you really like even more? Use your calories wisely. Great work, keep it up!

I'm finding the same thing with the weights - I haven't been doing them much lately - once a week if at all - and I can really tell the difference. As always, your running inspires me - even if it was a chatty one this time. :)

I know what you mean about how such a little gain can really make you feel fatter. And it's not just in our heads, either. Sounds like a good idea to put yourself on a training schedule since you did so well with your triathalon training. Having a goal to shoot for is very helpful in keeping us motivated. You'll have the numbers turned around in no time. I just know it!
