Monday morning, day one, no smoking. 0 cigarettes since Sunday at about 5 p.m. 2 pieces nicorette gum. 0 chocolate. Ate decent this weekend, turkey taco salad was lovely, but so high calorie. I think I ate a 700 calorie salad?? Went crazy on the popcorn last night, must use less butter, but was really delicious anyway. Did take the dogs for a walk for about an hour, so got some exercise in; that was hitting a goal for me!

The goal for this week is 2 lbs. I'm planning on hitting the gym, doing pilates, drinking my veggie juice, and not smoking this week. My affirmation for not smoking is, "Mr. Right doesn't want to kiss the girl with cigarette breath." If I can just kick the smoking I can get rid of the last vestige of vile Nathan in my life.

I feel like the girl who didn't get the office memo. I don't want to live like this anymore. I turned 40 in October, and I think I can shake off this weight and the smoking and really use 40 as my big year for positive changes--like getting kids graduated and launched into the world, cleaning up my lifestyle, and making my life now; instead of dwelling in pre-menopausal empty nest syndrome.

Goal for Monday: lower calories, go to pilates, 0 cigarettes. It's worth it girl, hang in there!
