My dietician said that sugar,cocaine,cigarettes and heroin are all equally addictive . They all cause our brain to release serotonin, the feel good chemical. I was not surprised by this because I have a sugar thing too. I can walk by candy all day but if I have one piece then I want MORE. I try to have a glass of water and re-evaluate . Sometimes I just give in and have sugar but not with fat. Marsh mellow fluff is a great sugar snack. Good luck with your cravings.
