Wow....I can't believe how well this weight loss is going. I am doing awesome. I just wish I could get up the strength to exercise. Yes, all of this weight loss is due to changing the way I eat. Guess I WAS consuming too many calories after all. I have been exercising my arms and doing squats and stuff but I am still a little nervous about doing cardio. I know I need to but you have to consider, I haven't "worked out" since high school and I am really afraid. I know it does sound strange huh? I am still big but I need to loose this body fat. I have tons and I need to tone what I have up. Any advise would help me out tremendously!!!!

first off, congratulations! you've been losing by leaps and bounds. cardio is very important. i would advise you start off slow - maybe aim for 7 minutes on the elliptical machine, and add at least one minute every day. if you can't do that, try walking up the stairs at work. ALL the way up. you have to remember that you're carrying that extra weight with you while exercising and that will make it harder, but as you keep losing it won't be so bad. your energy levels will soar and your mood will be great. not to mention, it'll help you avoid getting saggy skin from the weight loss. you can do it!

When I started working out it was so hard! It is hard to believe my first day of "cardio" exercise I literally only did 2 min and said... ok that is it. The next day I did 3 min. When I did 10 min I stayed there a while. I skipped to 15 min... stayed a while, etc. Now, I am working out 2-3 hours a day. I can't believe it! It was so hard to start exercising. But, when I got going... I relied on walking around the blocks, purchased a jump rope, finally got a cheep elliptical, and use my friends treadmill. I also purchased some hand weights after getting stronger than the veggie cans I was using. Currently, I have added in Jillian's 30 Day shred. You DO NOT need a lot of space and start out slow because it is an a s s kicker... and you can either purchase the DVD OR use youtube (that is what I do). Good luck! And remember to start slow, by the way congrats on your huge weight loss!
