So last night I was browsing Amazon and I noticed Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred DVDs were going for about 5 dollars, and since I had a 5dollar balance, well, I bought them. I do need to go purchase the weights I need to do the videos, but if I can get them I think I will start today.
This may sound weird, but I think that coming from a place where you have only a few pounds to lose can be harder to start then when you are heavier. You see less of an immediate difference on the scale, and it's really frustrating when people around you are losing 2 to 5 pounds a week and you are losing ounces. Frankly, if I calculate my body's needs with the formulas to lose weight, I end up getting that I should consume 1200-1300 kcal or less per day, and that's just impossible and unhealthy for me. So I figure it's time to kick it up a notch with the exercising, because I like to eat too much to starve myself. I hope none of this sounded insensitive. After all, I would much rather be here than have 50 pounds to lose, and I applaud those that are doing that and more. It is just more difficult to see number results in the beginning, in my opinion, and that can be awfully disconcerting.
