I am concerned about my weight gain, I've never been skinny, but maintained a weight of 190-200 since highschool. This really changed after a freak accident that sent me in for knee surgury a few years back. I've hit around 250+ and don't seem to be slowing down. I've never had to "watch my weight" before. So this is all new for me.
In the fall I started trying to jog, but suffered from some major cramping and shin splints. I moved to barefoot running which helped a ton with the shins and cramping, still not gone but better.
The cold set in and the barefoot running stopped. It's pretty cold in the snow :) I also realized that I was not drinking anywhere near the amount of fluid that I should be and that this could contribute to muscle cramps. So in the first week of Dec I started drinking 8 8oz glasses of water per day. At the end of Dec, I upped that to around 125 oz of fluid per day.
So in a nutshell, I am looking to loose weight. I will do this by watching what I eat (count calories), increase my exercise, and continue staying hydrated. KL
