I wanted to go for a mile + walk today with the dogs and kids. However my youngest seems to have another cold... Gotta love preschool and all of the 'sharing'. I'm going out of town next Sunday so hopefully I don't get it, I'll be gonna on a business trip. I intend to keep running while I'm gone as well as the elliptical. I made sure my hotel has a fitness center. No yoga or Zumba for two weeks. I also have a full kitchen and will focus on making meals instead of eating out. It will be quite the challenge in itself.
The treadmill had been a fighting point in my house since I got it in December. My significant other complains about the noise. I concede it is very noisey, but it's only 30 minutes 3 times a week, really?! He could go upstairs or anywhere else for the 30 mins, our house is rather large. Needless to say since I got up and ran yesterday morning he's been a jerk since. I don't care at this point. I moved it into a corner to dampen the noise, I don't do it while watching one of our shows anymore, and two out of the three I get up super early and complete my run as to try to not disturb everyone else. He still claims he hears it in the early morning hours but I have a hard time buying that since when I'm done and getting in the shower I normally hear him snoring. I feel like I compromised enough. The only thing that's gonna make him stop complaining is to stop running and I'm not doing that. So I'll take a deep breath, shake it off and remind myself nothing's permanent...
