melmi20's Journal, 02 Feb 09

After church yesterday, my boyfriend (and long-time friend) wanted to go to a buffet and for some reason I didn't object. Knowing me, I should have, instead I convinced myself that I will stick to the salad portion of the bar. But, they staff was transitioning from breakfast to lunch and I love breakfast foods. Thought I could control it but I didn't. I asked him never, never to take me there again...ever. He agreed and I went home to study. Saw my mom and she cooked one of my fav dinners. Had to induldge...again.

Today is a new day. I made a concious decision to make a YOU-turn and I have. Got up, took a very brisk walk and had an awesome breakfast. One day is not going to bring me down. I had to stay accountable by putting EVERYTHING I ate in my journal. Now I really see what I put in my body and I'm so thankful for fatsecret for the food diary tool because instead of seeing food as stuff that taste good, I see it as facts and numbers. And I do very well with numbers...they don't lie or decieve. And yesterday's numbers was horrible, but now I really see just what kind of damage that lifestyle can do.

Here's to taking it one day at a time. One triumph at a time.

One day at a time is the only way to go! I really wish you would consider giving Weight Watchers a try! It has helped me so much to be able to follow a real program...and one that works!
