I had a great workout running on the treadmill this morning and really pushed myself. Here it is: 4 miles in 39.45 minutes running 1.75 miles in 21 min. of a run/ walk combo
Total: 5.75 miles (mostly running) in 61 minutes and burned about 600 calories!
Yeah! I am really happy with that. I set my goal to hit the 4 miles in 40 min which I did. I started to walk to cool down, then decided I could run some more. I have finally done the math on mph in running-going 6 mph means you will complete 6 miles in an 60 min, or 10 min. per mile. So I mainly stayed at 6.0, a little more or less as I needed.
I was a little irritated this morning that my weight was up to 141. What gives?! I ate so little at work yesterday and then did enjoy a richer dinner of homemade potato soup, but didn't pig out. After my run I was at 139.8. Then I ate another bowl of soup for lunch. It will make me stay in line for eating the rest of the weekend.
I did have another little revelation on the treadmill. This week I bought regular English muffins that were on sale and didn't want to pay for the light ones b/c they are about $2 more per package. Then I thought how silly that is that I didn't just pay more for something that will help me lose- where as the regular ones that I ate several times probably were working against me! How dumb. All this work I do to lose then I let not buying a package at $4 work against me. I know that is a little thing, but we do need to sometimes just spend a little extra $ on the thing that will be helpful to us losing and keep us filled up and satisfied.
